What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM (15:00)  and check-out is by 11:00 AM (11:00).
To ensure a smooth arrival for all guests, we kindly ask that these times are respected.

Can I drive directly to the property?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is possible to drive directly to the property. 
However, due to the very narrow streets of Vejer's old town, we generally recommend using one of the nearby public parking areas and walking the short distance to Casa Esmeralda.

How far is the walk from the parking areas to the property?

The walking distance depends on the parking area, but most public parking options are within a comfortable 2-10 minute walk from Casa Emeralda.

Are the parking areas free of charge?

Accepted Answer

Yes, public parking areas in Vejer are free of charge.
After booking, you will receive a map with recommended parking options. Please note that the parking areas marked in green are reserved for residents and are not available for visitor parking.

Can I reach Vejer by public transport?

Yes. Vejer is well connected by bus, with regular services from Seville, Cádiz, Tarifa and Málaga.
The main bus stop is located just outside the historic center and can be reached on foot from Casa Emeralda.

Can  I rent a bicycle nearby?

Yes. Bike-rentals are available in the new town, just a short distance from Casa Esmeralda.

How far are the beaches?

The nearest beaches can be reached in approximately 15-20 minutes by car
The coastline offers a variety of beautiful beaches, including El Palmar, Los Caños de Meca and Zahora, all known for their wide sandy shores and natural surroundings.

Can I prepare my own meals in the accommodation?

La Golondrina and El Cernicalo both feature fully equipped kitchens for preparing your own meals.
El Boho includes a coffee and tea station, but does not have a kitchen.

Is Casa Esmeralda a hotel?

No. Casa Esmeralda is a collection of individually designed accommodations rather than a hotel.
Guests enjoy the privacy and independence of their own accommodation.
Daily housekeeping and towel changes are therefore not included, but fresh linens and towels are provided for every stay.

Is there a possibility to do laundry during my stay?

Yes. A laundromat called La Noria is located in the new town and can be reached easily from Casa Emeralda.

Yes. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for all guests and are included in every stay.

Is Casa Esmeralda suitable for remote work?

Yes. All apartments offer Wi-Fi and are suitable for staying connected during your stay.

La Golondrina includes a dedicated workspace, while El Cernicalo offers a spacious dining area that can comfortably be used for remote work when needed

Is Casa Esmeralda family-friendly?

Casa Esmeralda is primarily designed for adults.
The historic architecture, stairs, terraces and outdoor areas were not designed with young children in mind.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside all apartments.
Smoking is permitted only in the outdoor areas, including terraces and patios.

Ashtrays must be used at all times. 
Cigarette ends must never be disposed of in planters, courtyards or any other area of the property and must be discarded outside Casa Emeralda.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in additional cleaning charges.
